Distinguished Gentleman of the Month

This month’s distinguished gentleman happens to be America’s oldest blogger Ray White.  At 93 he has posted over one thousand entries in his Blog (Web Log) which he writes in every day except Sunday.  He likes to be called Dad and has been very cooperative and responsive in answering my questions by e-mail. In fact I look forward to reading his blog every morning.  He always has some good quotes and pictures. It helps to get my day going.  Below is a survey he filled out and answers to some questions.  You can find out more about” Dad” by visiting his Blog.

Good Morning John. How are you doing this morning?

I will try and answer the questions you asked.

First about my exercise, you are right about where I get the most of it. I spend a lot of time time in my tomato and rose garden, there is always plenty to do there and I do help Mary in keepings going around the house'.  I try to get plenty of rest each night and then I am up early usually around 4 AM working on this little journal.

I am sure that you have heard the saying, " Early to bed and early to rise, makes a man healthy , wealthy and wise." Well I can tell them that they are wrong about that. I have been doing that for 93 years The only thing that is has done for me is the healthy part, they missed it on the wealthy and wise part.

And about the diet, John I can't remember being on any diet. I have always eaten anything that I like, and I don't know of anything that I don't like. Tomatoes are my favorite and I eat lots of them. I know that they are good for you.

That’s all John, use anything that you want to, Dad won't care.

Do you eat fast food?  I have before but try not to
Do you Drink Coffee? Yes, 3-4 Cups a day
Do you use tobacco products? No, I never have
Do you drink alcohol? Have never drunk a drop
Do you consider yourself upbeat? Yes, the glass is half full
Do you have Faith in God? Yes, very much
Other ideas about how you lived so long. To tell you the  truth I feel like  that it is by the Mercy  of God  that I am sitting at this keyboard
